This page describes privacy for the DanaSeal authenticator app only—that app is intended solely to read DanaSeal QR codes and verify authenticity with the authorised service.
The DanaSeal authenticator is designed solely to read DanaSeal QR codes from documents or screens and to send the necessary data to authorised servers to confirm whether the seal is genuine. It is not intended for general browsing, advertising, or unrelated services.
To perform verification, the app may process the scanned QR content (or equivalent payload), technical data needed for the request (such as device type and app version where applicable), and responses returned by the verification service. The app does not require access to your contacts, photo gallery, or unrelated files unless you explicitly choose an image from storage for QR decoding—only what you select is used.
If you use the camera to scan a QR code, access is limited to capturing the code for decoding. You can withdraw camera permission at any time in your device settings; without it, scanning may not work. Microphone access is not required for DanaSeal authentication.
Verification requests should be sent over secure connections where supported. Data is kept only as long as needed to provide the authentication result and for any statutory obligations of the operating authority. The app does not sell personal data.
